Are H1N1 clinics accomodating kids with egg allergies?

Anyone with a egg allergic kid get the shot at a clinic?

They say you cannot get the vaccine if you have a "severe" egg allergy. I do not believe there are any other options.

There is no way for a clinic to "accommodate" an egg allergy, as all of the vaccines (mist and injection) are made in egg cultures. The safest way for a kid with an egg allergy to get the vaccine is by an allergist, at the allergist's office, and waiting enough time under the allergist's supervision to see if there is a reaction. For those with severe egg allergies, the risks of getting the vaccine at all may outweigh the benefits. But in any case, I wouldn't trust the people at a vaccine clinic to have any idea about any of this.

Dr. Wood's office at Hopkins (our allergist) has a voicemail message for callers that says they are not even skin testing kids who cannot tolerate egg in their diet with the vaccine, only those kids that can eat egg in baked goods. That leads me to believe that my anaphalactic-to-eggs daughter cannot get the vaccine. It is a bad scenario because she is high-risk for flu complications due to other factors.
