worked at a bar? I don't understand why my neighbor isn't happy about the teacher they have for 5th grade. she seems like very nice lady and dont understand why she not happy with her other job,

I'm a teacher. I know a lot of teachers who moonlight as bartenders. It's certainly better than the ones who sold drugs on the side.

I’d feel angry that we pay teachers so badly that many of them have to hold second jobs. And then I would feel compelled to get them numerous Starbucks gift cards in appreciation. And then I’d feel like telling them how much I appreciate what they do every day.

The only way I’d care is if my kid would see them in the bar. Then again if my kid is in a bar, seems like I’d have bigger fish to fry.

Many teachers hold second jobs the first 10+ years they teach. If they stay in teaching. Restaurant work is a frequent second job for teachers.
