What is AART?

Apologies for the probably stupid question:

DS started kindergarten yesterday in FCPS. His teacher sent home the weekly schedule in the Tuesday folder. One of his specials is listed as AART. I don’t know what this is; he doesn’t know what it is. Is it a typo for “art” (which he has on another day as well)?

Advanced Academic Research Teacher is usually the meaning of the acronym but that doesn’t make sense for a kinder special

Stands for Adanced Academics Resource Teacher. He/she will most likely come into your kid’s Class and give a lesson.

That’s interesting it’s listed as a special. Perhaps the AART is coming in to the classroom but at my school she only meets with Level III pull out groups and that probably won’t start until the end of September.

Same here - At our school the AART does meet with the whole class K-2 but it has never been listed as a special.
