| DD is an AAP Student - we are zoned for Franklin/Carson (AAP) school zone. Would she need any additional test to get into Carson, or are all AAP students directly admitted? |
| Nope. All LLIV students have the option to choose between Carson and afranklin. There isn’t a seperate application, like there is for TJ. |
| She will be permitted to choose between the two schools, both of which have a strong AAP program. Pay attention to announcements about "AAP night" at each school, an event that usually occurs in mid-winter. That night will provide lots of information about each school's program. |

I believe in Jan/Feb, there will be emails/communications from school about choosing either Franklin or Carson. AAP kids will get a chance to visit both the schools and learn about them. I don't remember there was any meeting for parents on this.

She won’t be admitted to Carson if she’s a level 3 even if she has been in the aap class at a local level 4 class.
She will be admitted if she’s a 4. |
And if the kid moves from a private school? Then? |
She needs to apply for AAP through the regular cycle the year before she starts middle school and see if she is accepted to level IV (the expedited consideration is only for people who move in from outside of Fairfax County). |
I know Franklin has a meeting for parents during which parents also get to meet all the AAP teachers. |
