Favorite makeup recommendations

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I'm too lazy to search. ;-P I have a $200 Sephora gift card that I received as a birthday present and am not sure what to do with it. I'm looking for recommendations for foundation, mascara, skin care, and lip stuff (gloss, stick, whatever). Right now I use very basic skin care (cetaphil wash and moisturizer), laura mercier tinted foundation with a little powder on top, drugstore mascara (still haven't found one I love) and laura mercier plumping lip gloss. Any suggestions for how to spend this? Thanks!

I bought a tube of anti-stretch mark lotion (pricey!) with my gift card.

they also have perfumes, if you like.

I suggest scheduling a consultation. Their make up artists don't work on commission, so they will find the stuff that is best for your skin color, type and lifestyle. They will also teach you how to put it all on.

Sephora also carries nice tools, like make up brushes, nail care stuff.

Totally jealous of that Sephora gift card! Here's one thing I just bought off Sephora.com that I think is a terrific idea: mascara sampler set

They've got other Sephora-exclusive sets that you should check out. A great way to try lots of different brands. I bought the lipstick sampler too!

Why not invest in a good set of makeup brushes? They are pricey, but can last a long time.

If you like Laura Mercier, you could try other products in her line.

agree, makeup brushes would be a wise buy.

i like bourjois illusion mascara... it really lengthens my lashes considerably.

i also love my nars lipgloss, and nars cream eyeshadows.

but the thing i buy most often at sephora are philosophy bath products that i give as gifts.
