Parenthood tattoos

Do you have any tattoos dedicated to your children? What do you have?

DH and I are considering some personalized to our children/their nicknames.

My sil has one. I think it’s tacky.

I’ve always thought it was sort of tacky/low class.

I have a friend, a single dad with a large number of kids. He has a spork tattoo. He's all about getting the job done, not doing it prettily. I thought that was pretty awesome.

I know an extremely pretentious father who has the word “family” tattooed on his wrist. You know, because he is the only man who has a family... Then he had “Lucky” tattooed on his other wrist when his second son was born but it got infected and is now indiscernible.

No, but when DC turns 18, he will get a “Made in Madrid” tat since that is where he was conceived.

So am I the only one who thought this was going to be a thread about getting tattoos related to the tv show “Parenthood?”

I'm considering getting a small tattoo in memory of my baby daughter who died, but I have not done it yet. For now, I have a necklace with her birthstone and a bracelet with an angel and her birthstone.

Tacky and low class.

Why would you do this? Are you going to forget your kids’ names and need a quick reference point?

My husband has DCs names on knuckles. He always insisted on short, one syllable names and then it occurred to me why. He's a weirdo but we love him.
