| From what I understand my son will be having PE every other day. There are shorts, ts, sweats and a sweatshirt. How many did you purchase? |
| 2 |
| One. |
| 2 sets so you don’t have to run to wash the uniform every weekend |
| Two. They're only wearing it for like a half hour. I don't think I ever broke a sweat in gym class. |
Same here. |
|
We did one, and it was fine. But, my HS DC was issued two and it was easier. When it came home to be washed, we didn’t have to worry that it was going to end up caught I. The washer, or not get fully dried, or not make it through at all, and a frantic kid Monday morning.
So for DC 2, we did two. One will work. Two makes it easier. Any more is silly, especially if they are on a block schedule and don’t have PE every day. The girls wear them for at least a weeks worth of class. As far as I can tell, DS washed his about once a quarter. BTW: feel sorry for middle school teachers who get 30 kids (15 boys) packed into last period on a hot day. Nauseating. |
| 2 worked great |
| And did everyone buy all 4 things (T-shirt, shorts, sweat pants, hoodie) or just the T-shirt and shorts? Sweats are probably hot for PE, no? Unless they run outdoors late fall and winter. |
| Two shirts. Two shorts. Never saw them again until the end of the year. Oy! |
| I only buy the shirt and shorts. My sons have never wanted the other items. |
| Two shirts, two shorts. |
|
Shirts and shorts only. One kid needed sweats, and we just bought solid color generic sweats in navy, which was one of the school colors. The other didn’t need them because if the way the units and health fell out.
The PE stuff ends up gross, if not just lost entirely. If you are going to get your kid a nice school hoody, get it for school. Get solid color fruit of the loom otherwise. But wait until they need it. If your kid has PE later in the day, and health 2nd quarter, the might never need sweats. |
When do they need these? I hope not the first week. |
Middle schoolers get stinky, especially the 7th graders who have not quite mastered personal hygiene. Walking into Open House today at my kid's middle school... oy vey! |
