My son is thinking about transferring to Roosevelt since we live in boundary for the school, however can anyone tell me about the atmosphere for those who are not in the Science and Tech program. He would be coming from a smaller charter school so it would be difficult to transfer back if he changes his mind. I do not see a lot of info about the school besides the specialty program. I see there is a Business and Finance Program, has anyone had any experience with that? Thanks.
Ok, my kid is in the science and tech program, BUT, Roosevelt has an AMAZING instrumental music program, multiple sports options, both recreational and competative, lots of clubs, and it’s generally filled with kids who want to be there, be they comprehensive students or specialty students. It’s a pretty great place, IMO.
Op, it’s the pp again. One of the great things about Roosevelt that i imagine may be very different from the charter your child attends is its size. I totally get it if the idea of a gigantic traditional public, specialty program or not, is a bit scary. But I really do think it’s a plus in this case. There are *so many* wonderful and different things for students to get involved in, and the kids I’ve met there, again not all from the specialty program, are pretty great.
