Comfort foods when sick

Anonymous
What foods do you give your DC when they are sick? TIA.

In general:
chicken noodle soup (in Disney shapes)
apple cider or apple juice
fruit & juice bars

when dairy is OK:
grilled cheese
mac & cheese
yogurt
ice cream

age of DC? What kind of illness? answers might vary depending on this info.

Last time DH and DC were sick, I made chicken soup from scratch, and added light noodles when serving - they loved it, and it did a good job rehydrating them without upsetting their stomachs.

Of course, when I was sick before that, DH came home and put a pizza in the oven... Sigh.

I think I have to stock ready-made chicken noodle soup and tell DH to use those when I am sick! Or make a preventative batch of home-made and freeze it...

I especially like Korean style chicken soup. It's supposed to have "medicinal" qualities.

PHO....I LOVE IT! If you put the red hot sauce in it, it will loosen anything up (that and the heat of the soup) My 2 yr old loves it!
