Have you tried Alli? Does it work?
I need to lose 10-15 lbs and am considering Alli when I'm done weaning (in a few weeks). I have been gaining a little weight since weaning. I exercise as much as I can, and try to limit my eating, but I think I naturally have a big appetite and I am so darn hungry all the time. I could use a little jump start. |

Oh hon, please don't go there. The package warns you to wear dark trousers until you adjust to the medication's effect on your body.
There are other ways, and no rush. Breastfeeding puts an enormous demand on your body in terms of how much food you need, so that appetite has a purpose. When you are done nursing, things will level off and you will probably be better able to reduce your fuel intake and up your calorie burn. |
| ...PP here. OK, maybe the package doesn't actually say that, but I swear the manufacturers have. |
| Also, Alli is not meant to jump start weight loss. It's just supposed to make you lose a little bit more than you would without using it. Not that you asked, but I've found weight watchers to be quite effective. If you don't have the time for meetings, you can do it online. Or just go to one meeting and buy the materials. I'm on my 7th week and down 15 pounds and almost two sizes. |

OP here. I'll look into weight watchers.
I'm convinced I'm one of those women who will gain weight when weaning, to be honest. I'm down to my PP weight, but that's about 10 lbs more than I ought to be. And the #s on the scale are creeping up now that the BF is slowing down. |

I thought Alli caused liver (?) damage.
Just cut out the carbs and use weights in addition to cardio. Lean muscle mass burns more calories. |
| Ditto on weight watchers. You can be on the program while breast feeding. The support is great. |
