| I've been binging on a Danish show called Rita on Netflix, about a chain-smoking renegade teacher, her compassion for the kids she teaches her three young adult kids and her messy choices in men). But I've been thinking there aren't really many shows about teachers. Room 222 from the '60s comes to mind. Maybe School of Rock. My dad was a teacher and DD is an education major, so I was curious what else is out there. |

Wiki has quite a few listed. I really liked Boston Public in the early 2000s.

that's a good question. i know there are some about students and teachers are sort of an afterthought. head of the class, welcome back carter, saved by the bell |

Boston Public with Joey McIntyre
Head of the Class in the 80's. Boy Meets World was not about a classroom per se, but there were a lot of classroom scenes and his teacher was his next door neighbor. |
| I liked Rise about a drama teacher. |
OP here. I knew there was something recent. That's it. Too bad it was canceled. Welcome Back Kotter was a good one. |
| The show Teachers on TVLand is cute. |
| Bad Teacher was a recent one--I think only a few episodes aired before it was canceled. |
| Wasn't there briefly a tv series based on the movie Dangerous Minds? |
|
I haven’t seen it but Greg Davies has a show on Netflix based on his time as a special ed teacher:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_Down_(TV_series) This show on Hulu (or at least it was for a long time)is one of my favorites: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy_(2011_TV_series) It didn’t last many episodes but very funny. |
| Haven’t watched them and might not be the genre you’re looking for but what about AP Bio and Vice Principals? |

Head of the Class

I just saw a little blurb about this show in the WaPo and made a mental note to check it out. |
| Vice Principals with Danny McBride. |
| Season 4 of the wire focuses on this somewhat. |
