Health and Medicine
My pediatrician is out. I tried to get it at Minute Clinic this weekend only to learn that they are out too. Each says the "may" get more but don't know when and don't have a list so I just have to call them each day and hope. All the other places I've found don't take toddlers (Safeway, Walgreens). The flu.gov site doesn't provide any locations I haven't already tried. One of my kids has respiratory issues and I don't want to go without a seasonal flu vaccine. I'm in DC but would go somewhere else if necessary. I'll need the shot not the mist b/c of the age of my youngest. Advice? (I do plan to get the H1N1 also but want the seasonal vaccine as well.) TIA
Inova has walk in clinics
Try Safeway and they also have the preservative free one. Not sure if there is an age limit though to get a flu shot there (i.e. they have to be over a certain age). Just go to the pharmacy. I had no wait and they took my insurance.
sorry, I just re-read your post that said Safeway doesn't take toodlers. Sorry. Good luck.
You can call the hotline for CVS and have them check the inventory for the different stores and see if there is one with a supply. I know Maryland didn't have some but there were some locations in Virginia that did when I was looking. They were able to confirm the inventory with the store before I went there.
9:41 - thanks, is INOVA the hospital in VA (not so familiar sorry)?
