What is the best way to get rid of moss?

We have a lot of shade trees surrounding our house, but I think it is leading to the growth of way too much moss. There is moss on the bricks of the house, moss on the patio stones, and even moss on the shingles of the roof! Any advice on how to treat the moss, or maintenance tips (so that it doesn't come back)?

It's time to invest in a power washer. I have an electric model from Home Depot that should work fine for your needs. You need to be careful when you use a power washer so that you don't damage anything or accidentally spray yourself.

Get a roofer to install a strip of copper flashing along the top of your roofline and it will kill the moss and prevent recurrence.
