If your 5th grader is not an advanced reader, what is he/she reading this summer?

| My daughter is a very average reader. Barely on grade level actually. My older son was always very advanced in reading. I am trying to get a sense of what average readers are reading. She is reading the Al Capone Does My ... series right now. |

| That’s what my average reading daughter read in 5th grade. She’s now in high school and doing extremely well (honor student) but still doesn’t enjoy reading. I have to push her to do leisure reading outside of school reading. |
