| I am confused by the EDP National League situation. Does anyone know how it is supposed to work: I see the EDP Premier I schedules but noticed that some teams are missing from the Spring and new teams without much of a track record in EDP and elsewhere were promoted. |

you are probably looking at high school level teams. In the fall Maryland based teams play the late fall season after the high school season and in Virginia high school soccer is in the spring. A balancing act for the high school years.
This is where it becomes a problem for kids playing up who are in their last year of middle school playing up on a team of 9th graders. |
| OP here. The confusion centers around the EDP and the EDP partnership with US Youth Soccer. It looks like teams like Bethesda, FCV, Pipeline and MRM Rush are not in regular EDP brackets. |
| My understanding is those clubs will be playing each other in the Club vs Club format and schedules haven't been released yet. I'm not sure how that will work with the Team vs Team divisions and promotion to regionals/National League - but that is why those clubs are missing from the current brackets/schedules. |
| So club-club is a level below the regional / national? Sorry just trying to get my head around all this. I noticed in one age group Bethesda South (VA) was listed but not the other Bethesda teams so wasn't sure. |
| That helps. Thanks for the clarification. |
Pipeline pre-academy teams are playing club-club, and many are also playing National League. |
