if your dc got the h1n1 nasal spray, did he/she get sick after?

my 4 yo dd got the intranasal swine flu vaccine on thurs -- now she has a fever; the dr's office says a lot of kids are coming down with a "mild" swine flu in reaction.

anyone else have this?

I'm wondering the same thing! We're planning to do the flumist but worry about the kids getting sick. Anyone?

Yes, my DS got it Thurdsay and woke up this AM with a small fever and runny nose. He is fine though.

My 3 kids and I got the H1N1 flumist last Wednesday and we are fine. No sickness at all.

My friends kids both got flumist and came down with fevers the next day. The younger one came down with actual H1N1 a few days laters so they probably already had been coming down with something prior to or soon after receiving the shot.

My kids got the spray on a Friday. One came down with H1N1 on Sunday. The other on Tuesday and then I got it. The doctor thought it was from the vaccine (the first child getting it). He said that there were two possible reactions- immediate, and a mild form of the flu. The flu reaction would take a couple of days.

The spray is considered a "live" vaccine and can make them sick. The shot is not "live" and cannot make them sick. I don't know the proper terms but that's the jist of it.

Also - the doctor told us (just something to keep in mind) that the flumist "lasts longer and is more effective" than the shot.

PP, did you just get a mild version of h1n1, or are you all very sick?
