Meeting a friend this weekend in Baltimore but he’ll be getting in later than I will be. I will have all of Friday to bum around. Anything cool to see within walking distance of the inner harbor? Art/cheap eats/parks/yoga are particularly interesting to me. TIA! |
American Visionary Arts Museum. Cool!
|
Miss Shirley's for brunch. |
+1. And Federal Hill Park is on top of the hill across from the museum, if you want to go for a walk. Nice view of the harbor from up there. |
Agree with American visionary arts museum. Fort mchenrys interesting too. Take a water taxi. |
Walters art museum. It's free and nice. |
Water taxi to Fort McHenry. |
If you like brunch, try Blue Moon Too in Federal Hill (neighborhood that's basically adjacent to the inner harbor on the south side). Three Bean Coffee is good. AVAM is interesting. Riding the water taxi is always nice and relaxing. You could ride it to Fells Point and eat lunch overlooking the water. Don't bother with any restaurants in the inner harbor, they include Bubba Gump Shrimp, Cheesecake Factory, and other similar choices. If you have kids with you- definitely do the science center. |
Have fun with that. Because they get a lot of Food Network buzz doesn’t mean it is good. Overpriced, terrible sservice, not good. It is better than the one in Annapolis. |
Drive around and see if you can find all of the blue lights on poles. |
Another vote for AVAM! |
I posted about Miss Shirley's. I've been to the one in Annapolis shortly after it opened and it was meh. I've never been to the one at the harbor but the one in Roland Park is delicious every single time I go there. Even my picky eater kid has found multiple things he likes there. I don't watch or care about the Food Network. |
