3+ years btwn IVF and FET - am I a new patient?

Anonymous
I'll be returning to SGF for a FET this fall using an embryo from our successful IVF cycle in Jan 2015. Considering the amount of time that has passed, are they likely to consider me a 'new patient' and require new paperwork and repeat testing? Anyone know from recent previous experience? Thanks

My retrieval was in March 2015, and we've recently returned to SGF to start FETs to TTC#2, so we are on a similar timeframe. We had to repeat the infectious disease bloodwork (DH and I both, even though this is an FET) and I had to have a mock transfer/saline sono. My RE indicated that he would have required a repeat HSG if I'd had a c-section. Other than that, I don't recall anything different, and certainly nothing like all the new patient paperwork and financial stuff from the first time around. If you've had an insurance change in that timeframe, I'm sure there are hoops to jump through, as well.

PP here. That infectious disease bloodwork is a yearly requirement, by the way. We were under various forms of treatment with SGF for several years before the successful IVF, and it had to be done yearly then, too.

Yes, when I returned for an FET this year we did new infectious disease test and mock transfer, but no new HSG.

We also skipped injection class, since we've had so much practice!
