tell me about monitoring at shady grove

i've done monitoring a bunch of times at GW and if i get there before 7, i'm in an out in maybe 15 minutes and can get to work on time.

shady grove tells me that you make an appointment for monitoring and the earliest appointment is 7am. nurse says i'd be out of there in 30-45 minutes. what's your experience with monitoring been?

I used to go in as soon as they opened, and I'd often be out within 30 minutes, sometime much quicker. There can be unexpected delays though, if there are a lot of patients on a given day or if they are short of an ultrasound tech.

I've usually gone in later, between 8-8:30 because I'm not a morning person, and generally even when it's been crowded I'd say I've been in and out of there around 15-20 minutes nearly all of the time, sometimes even less. They do have their assembly line process down. (Now that said, this is K Street. The few times I've had to go out to Fairfax it was way slower.)

I always go to Fair Oaks at 7:15 and I’m out within 15 mins. The lastest was like 7:35

K Street gets crowded at the 7/7:15 slots. I even had to go to another location once b/c they were filled up. Since they do appointments, it does tend to keep things moving, though. If you go in without an appointment, it can be slower.

Leesburg or Fair Oaks, in and out in about 15 minutes. Rockville and Fairfax always had longer waits.
My feeling is this is heavily dependent on the office location.

I go to SG on K Street between 9 and 9:30 and I'm usually out of there in 15-20 minutes, maximum time was 30 minutes once or twice.

I always make 7am appointments at Rockville. I waited a bit the first time, maybe 15 to 20 minutes before they called me, but in the four or so other times I've been there for monitoring it has been quick, 15-20 minutes in and out. They say they open at 7, but they definitely open and start seeing people before then, so I tend to get there around 6:50 and get called pretty quick after that.

I would always try to make a 7 am appt at K Street (they do try to fit you in as a walk-in if needed), and get there like 15 or 10 minutes before and be the first in line. There's usually a line waiting for the door to open. If you can be one of the first, yes, you can get out in 20 minutes or so. But otherwise it can be a little slower, as PP said, as that is a busy time.

Have done it at the Fairfax, Fair Oaks, Woodbridge, and the now closed Annadale. Normally its quick - in and out in < 15 minutes. Sometimes it gets backed up, generally on the weekends when you have people from everywhere coming to the weekend locations. I generally booked the 7AM appointments and got there before they even opened and tried to be the first one in.

I try to go in early right before they open at fair oaks and still wait thirty minutes. I would end up paying before going back so I could dash to work as soon as my blood was drawn and drop off my checkout sheet. I also have a very demanding job and have a hard time explaining being late.

If you get to the K street location by 645 for a 700 appointment you can be out of there by 7:20!

Sibley was very efficient most mornings - often in and out so fast I didn't even have to pay for parking b/c the garage assumed I didn't actually park. Every once in awhile it'd take 20 or so minutes.

I was only at K street twice but there were definitely more people there - I didn't feel like it took horribly long though.

AnnandLe in and out in 15 min (unless I needed to talk to a nurse)
