Recommend your mid size SUV please!

I've been looking at possibly getting a mid sized SUV and would love to know about the pros/cons of owning one, any features that I should look for and make/model suggestions.

+1 but I consider it a small SUV. We transport 5 people once every few months and it's fine, but too tight to be doing that every day. It's perfect for 3 to 4 people.
