Stair climber

Does anyone have a stairclimber? I heard it is a good machine that gets you cardio and resistance training. A lot of the models are small too, which work in our smaller bedroom. Any feedback if you own one or use one regularly? Thanks.

Stair climbers are great cardio if you use them correctly - stand straight and do not lean on any part of the machine. You should be supporting your entire body weight with your legs, and completely hands free ideally. If that's not possible, then you go slower or for less time.

Where are you being small ones? The ones I have seen are huge, and I worry about fitting one through the door frame. Also, are you talking about a Stepmill Stairmaster, which has steps that actually move? Or one with pedals that move up and down?

Is one better than the other? I saw some relatively small ones on Amazon.

I second the caution to use it correctly. I have a plantar tear I’m trying to heal because I was leaning forward and put too much pressure on my front foot bed. I know I’m going to eventually need surgery.

Can anyone recommend a good model?
