Changing Pad Recos

Does anyone have the Keekaroo Peanut Changer or the Skip Hop Wipe-Clean changing pad? I have the old school style that requires a fabric cover so am looking to "upgrade" for baby #2. The Keekaroo is $120 and the Skip Hop is $70 so trying to figure out if paying almost double is worth it.

We love our Hatch changing pad/scale! Same price as the Keekaroo, just as wipeable, but a little more space efficient and with the added bonus of serving as a scale (which brings some nice peace of mind in those early breastfeeding days if you’re going that route).

Just re-use the one you already have. There is nothing so amazing about the wipe clean models that it's worth shelling out $150 for.

unpopular opinion here maybe...i got a cheap summer infant one (17$) and two changing covers (20$) my baby is 4 months and only twice can I think I had to remove the covers becasue of pee or poo. it's easy to wipe and easy to move around (we live in an apartment). plus, it's soft for baby especially during those night changes. i saw the keekaro peanut and was not impressed, just hard, heavy, and expensive.

Honestly, I just stopped using the cloth covers on the cheap changing pads. You can still wipe down the vinyl and baby didn’t need a cotton surface under him, just the squishy pad. $15 solution that worked just as well as the $150 keekaroo. Fwiw, I like the flat pads, not the contoured ones, because they are a bit bigger and don’t have the ‘quilting’ stitched on that just gets gross. Summer infant makes a good one.

This reminds me of a story I must share! We were living in NYC when I was pregnant with my 1st. For fun we went to a trendy baby shop to get a few things, DH came and was just starting to get into it. We aren't wealthy or broke, just normal duel income ppl. Dh said "don't worry about prices here just get a few things for fun." So I put that peanut changing pad in the pile. I figure even if it's 2x normal mark up that can't be more than 40 bucks right? Dh and I about died when we saw the price. Dh was trying to make this a fun care free day but paused and said "ummm I just cant" hahaha. I agreed. We got that summer brand one that's 17.99 on prime and now 2 kids later it's still been just fine!
