Beauty and Fashion
| I've never worn any kind of booths other than snow boots. I'm not a very fashionable person, so I've come to this forum for help! For some reason, I'm obsessed with the idea of getting a pair of black leather boots (cut just below the knee and with a very small and functional/chunky heel - not high heel) to wear with tights and dresses/skirts this autumn/winter. That's fashionable, right? I've seen a pair that I really like in a catalog, but they are $280 - which is WAY out of my budget range. I'd prefer to spend no more than $100. Is that possible? Or am I just going to get something cheap and crappy unless I make more of an investment? Are there certain stores, brands, styles I should look at? |

You probably get what you pay for, but try searching on Zappos for your criteria & see what you come up with.
What about this under $100? http://www.zappos.com/naturalizer-jadis-wide-shaft-black-suede-leather Or if you go up to $150, these look nice: http://www.zappos.com/naturalizer-hunt-wide-shaft-black-tumbled-leather-croco-smooth |
| Check 9West and Macys too. I would go with either black or a dark chocolate brown. You should be able to get with a sale or coupon for around 100 |
| Also, yes, wear with tights skirts and dresses. Also try with jeans tucked in and a nice chunky sweater. If you are slim, try a pair of black leggings. Have fun! |

Nine West has some gorgeous boots!
For those that are needing a larger calf size in boots you can check out Wide-Widths.com . I wanted a nice dress boot, but was having a hard time finding a calf size that felt comfortable. I bought an adorable pair of boots there and the owner is very helpful! The only down side is that they don't offer USPS Priority Shipping so the shipping seems a bit much to me. They seem to have the largest calf sized boots though so I didn't mind. |
| Riding boots generally have low/no heels - thats what I wear because they are more comfortable for my work. Boots will probably start to go on sale in February as they make way for spring merchandise so you might want to wait a bit for the after-Christmas stuff to clear out. I got mine from Ann Taylor but I don't normally get my shoes there. |
