| Not interested in a dealer trade in - can get more with private sale and OK with the hassle. Is Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book generally more accurate? Or something else? I am a difference between the first two. |

It has been a few years but I found the Kelley Blue Book website to be somewhat accurate if you are honest about the car's condition. Another way to check is to look at private sale listings for cars very similar to yours. How much are they selling for? We successfully sold two cars through Craigslist. The trick for us was to see what similar cars were selling for and then listing it for a couple hundred dollars less.

both are fairly close. take a look at cars.com as well to see what dealers are asking for that particular car.
the idea is to sell it. but not give it away. soprice it to move. |
A few years ago I did this and listed it on CList. It sold on a day for what I asked (based on kbb) |
