Here is a table in the Wash Post showing where you can get the vaccine:

Thank you for posting this!
I called the Inova Fairfax and they told me that they will be giving the H1N1 shot to moms in the post partum room during the flu season. The shot is not a requirement but an option for new moms. The only problem is due to the limited supply, they will not be offering the shot to the delivering mom's spouse/significant other/co-caretaker.

Does anyone know if the H1N1 flu shots offered at the DC mass vaccination sites will be thimerosol free? I'm hoping so since it's aimed at pregnant women and children, but I couldn't find any information about that on DCs' website or any number to call.

9:25 I don't know, and I too have searched for a list of where you can get preservative free shots in DC area and have found NOTHING--does anyone have any advice?? (I'm sure this is due to some incompetence on my part...)

I don't know about the thimerosal, except that single-dose units are supposedly thimerosal free, according to the CDC website:
http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/vaccine_safety_qa.htm I'm just going to take what I can get since the supply is going to be less than originally anticipated. The way I see it, the risk of effects from thimerosal is much lower than the risk of effects from contracting H1N1. |
