I feel the same way, minus the FWB guy. Years ago I was talking to a woman I met through CL, but I think we were both equally scared and never met up. I think online is the answer but don’t know any specific sites to meet women who are looking to explore. I am pretty sure lesbians are not interested in “curious “ women who are inexperienced.

You'll find kindred spirits on Tinder, OkCupid, Bumble. Also, look into Skirt Club, which is precisely for that purpose and has a DC chapter. It's not an app, but an online club. You have to apply. They do meet ups and you can chat online with other members.

Also, there is more inclusiveness in the community to more amorphous "queer" identified women, those who don't identify as strictly lesbian. There are meetups and facebook groups, happy hours and events. Go to the new queer friendly bars highlighted in this article, for example, instead of mainstream bars:

A few years ago I visited Hedonism 2 with a FWB and we met an attractive single woman who was mostly interested in my guy friend. It was a crazy evening but the FF part didn't do as much for me as I hoped. The resort is pretty wide open when it comes to sex so if you want to try something you might want to go there.

There are plenty of gay bars in the city but if you are serious about adding a male FWB that may be a challenge unless you meet up with a bi. I suggest you first just do FF to see if you enjoy it.

You could join a swingers website, but unless you are incredibly hot or your FWB is incredibly hot AND hung...you're going to have the numbers stacked against you.
