| We resodded our previously weedy, patchy backyard, and for a few weeks had a beautiful green lawn that we watered diligently hoping that the grass would "take." We came back from a week away to find a ton of mushrooms sprouting, which Dr. Google tells me is due to the ton of moisture in the lawn. Any tips? It's kind of unfortunate that our backyard looks like a residence for Smurfs. My neighbor said not to pull them out because the spores would spread further, but I hate to leave them there. |
| They'll die when it dries out. And they'll come back when it gets really wet. Nothing much you can do about it. |

We had these flat ones that were taking over our newish lawn last year. We let them go and they just got bigger and then the grasss was actually growing up through the mushroom top. And they actually started to stink.
When I finally started pulling them up they were massive and weighed a ton! so this year as soon as I see them, I have ended up digging them out of the lawn and bagging them up. I think it has definitely stemmed the growth. |
