recommend your bank for current account please

hi

I need to open a new current account, and I need to be able to access it online/mobile from overseas for mobile banking. I want good customer service too (24/7 due to time zone difference). We used to have a credit union but they dont allow overseas ISPs to access their internet banking even with some of the VPNs out there.

Ideally a good debit card with low transaction fees for foreign withdrawals or payments.

Can you please recommend? Or, and must allow joint accounts - just saw that some smaller online banks dont do joint accts. I looked at the big banks but searching the web, people hate the big banks. We dont have high balances so are a small fish.

Many thanks for your recommendations! also if you hate your bank do share so i know to avoid them!

I love Citibank and they should have no problem with the overseas stuff.

If you have any active duty military or vets in your family through whom you have access to USAA, I highly recommend it.

I’m not sure about the international options but I love TD bank. Great online and in person services and really good hours. We switched 5 accounts there recently and they were awesome at helping sort out, name and manage each.
