Are you asking if players are current JV or Varsity players or what they have in mind as a goal? Tryouts aren’t until August 15 at our HS.

Our tryouts start tomorrow, wondering how competitive it is compared to local club play

Exciting but nerve racking time of year. Good luck to the kids.

From past club experience and talking to the coaches, the high schools carry a larger roster than club. Base don summer training, it looks like there will be a lot of kids trying out. Some don't play club but some of them look pretty good.

I know 2 travel soccer kids who didn’t make their HS JV team. They both have been playing on the HS coaches travel team for years. I feel badly for them. I knew it was competitive but these are great players.

How many kids tried out for soccer at this school and how many are rostered on each team?

Same at our school -- lots of travel kids cut from JV.

About 50 or 55 kids tried out for 20 spots. Among the 50 = about 10 returning players. So realistically 40+ kids going for 10 spots.

Very competitive! This is boys JV in MoCo

Too many returning players for varsity this year. Juniors that were on JV last year most likely getting cut. Yikes.

The rising juniors seem to be the ones who get cut most.

Cut from JV or not making it to Varsity? (Why wouldn't they stay on JV if they played on it as sophomores?)

you can only play 2 years of JV
