Yes. Because they are. Just like interns go to work.

It's kind of like an internship. Experience without monetary compensation. I did it at a day camp and overnight camp. Both great experiences.

Why did you bring race into this? I say this as a black person who is sick of race being brought up about every minor thing. That just makes people tune out when race really is a factor in something significant.
