Ocean City restaurant recommendations

Anonymous
My family will be making our second trip to Ocean City next month. When we visited two years ago every restaurant we picked was a dud, except for Fat Daddy's which has apparently closed.

Can anyone recommend good places to get sandwiches and pizza. Also I interested in seafood, but a non fancy seafood place.

Thanks!

While technically not in Ocean City (but literally as soon as you enter Fenwick Island...so like, just past 145th st), Grab and Go Taco is yummy and always has rave reviews. It’s on the right side of Coastal Highway (when heading north), next to Fisher’s Popcorn (across the street from Down Under Mini Golf and Viking mini golf)

The best meal we had was at a fancier place,The Hobbit.

The best cheaper completely non fancy meal was at a seafood ahack before you get to the bridge, on the right. No air conditioning and they sold basic steamed seafood you could eat in or take out. http://shrimpboatoc.com

Fish Tales! Kids play while you eat

I liked breakfast at Barn 34 and Fractured Prune donuts.

We thought Sahara Cafe was decent.

Food at Fish Tales was ok but I liked the bay view and playground for the kids (it was pretty crowded when we went).

There as a real hole in the wall place that I wouldnt go to with my young kids but it was good and hard to get a seat. It was right over the bridge. I’m blanking on the name. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Fractured Prune has great donuts - the bagel breakfast sandwiches are small and can be burnt.

For pizza, Lombardi's. It's around 94th or 92nd, I think.

We loved Cafe Mirage and Bourbon Street on the Beach.
The new placed from Off the Hook Restaurant Group was underwhelming. I forgot what it's called.

We love Dumser's! Great fried chicken and great ice cream!

The food scene in OC is pretty bleak IMHO.

Agreed on Lombardi's having the best pizza and its actually pretty cheap - they have a summer pizza that is really good. Grotto's has grown on us - not great but the kids like it and it is walking distance to the free place we go to the couple of times we visit every summer.

Tequila Mockingbird is pretty good americanized Mexican food - its a bit pricey but the ingredients are generally good.

Justine's has really good Ice Cream.

Agreed that Grab and Go Taco is really good but the portions are too small for the price - we can sit down for the same amount of money to get the food we need to be full.

OC has the best restaurants

Blue fin best Japanese

Antipasto Italiano

Crab bag for crabs

I hear Marlin moon is back in new location

Atmosphere average food ... fish tales, sunset island, harborside

Seacrets is fun, average food but the scene after 3pm is too mature for kids.
