Stylist for very curly hair

I'm looking for a good stylist who's experienced with very curly hair and can work with me on a cut that I can wear naturally without blowdrying straight. Prefer someone in DC/Bethesda/Silver Spring/Chevy Chase. I've heard good things about Lux Studio in Bethesda; anyone been there? I've already tried Fiddleheads.

Brooke Swayze at Salon Bleu in Tysons Corner! I know it's not the area you are looking for, but it's not really that far from the Bethesda area. I had been to many hairdressers before her who would never attempt anything related to bangs or layers. I would get my hair done and no one would notice (it's hard to notice a cut with curly hair unless it's drastic). Every time she has done my hair, everyone notices. All of my curly hair friends have started going to her too! She asks what you want and will work with you for the best style for your curl....she really, really rocks!

I used Elena at Bang Salon in DC, but frankly, I was not happy. I liked Lauren & Beth at Fiddleheads better.

Lorraine Aprile Salon in Old Town 703 299 6100 ask for Kirsten or Lorraine both have curly hair.
I have curly hair and they have both helped me in the past.
Also they have a new girl Toni who is running a special for highlights and haircut for only $100 , I think you have to book with Toni to have the special but its a good special I could not use it because it is for new clients only

Look on the website www.naturallycurly.com. They have a section of the website that has reviews of salons and hair stylists in VA, MD, and DC, specifically by city. I found my hair stylist from here (my hair is curly).

Yes, Andrew is one of the best in the area. I had a well known magazine stylist in NYC do my hair but outside of him I would choose Andrew in a heart beat.

I go to Garret at Spalon (on 17th St, downtown). He is crazy (seriously), but he does a terrific job with curly hair. Cut & blow dry is $60. Love him!

I use Lauren at the W Salon in Burke, VA. She used to work at a salon in Dupont Circle, but I cannot remember which one. She is awesome. I've been going to her for about a year now and she managed to get my hair healthy and shiny. I use DEVA products (sold at the W Salon) and I've never been complimented so much on my hair. I wear it long and the curls are just beautiful. And it is real easy to take care of. I no longer blow-dry, straighten etc.
