| We have 2 weeks off in August. Prefer somewhere that is easy to get to and has a good kids club. |
| Ages? Sounds horrible |
|
Ages.
Budget Within driving distance or are you wanting to fly? |
| How old are the kids? You need to make sure that the kids club will take the youngest one. Paradisus la Esmeralda in Playa del Carmen takes kids as young as 2. The whole place is super kid-friendly. |
| I considered Kiawah |
Me again. I have also considered taking my kids on a Disney cruise. |
| Disney cruise, hands down. You will all have a great time. And I promise you will not be overwhelmed by "Disney" stuff. We are not interested in Disney at all and had a great time. The food is very good and the service is excellent. You can leave out of New York or Port Canaveral. |
| I have three small kids and would probably only consider a Disney cruise if going solo. Otherwise, that sounds way too stressful for a vacation. |
| Just make sure that at the ages of your children that the kids club will work for them on the cruise. |
Kids ages 1, 6 and 8. Would prefer to drive. No real budget. |
Op here. When the older kids were 3 and 5, I went on a Disney Cruise alone and had a great time. I remember waiting for then younger child to be old enough for kids club. |
|
Agree on Kiawah. They have a great kids camp. I think it's called Klub Kiawah or something like that.
Disney cruise sounds like it would be good too. |
| I had a blast taking my 3 young kids to Niagara Falls. We took the boat tour, went behind the falls. There's a hotel with a water park somewhere and Buffalo has a nice zoo. |
The one year old is going to be tough in terms of kids club. Or, are you just hoping to put the older two in the kids club? |
| Disney cruises are great but even easier would be to look for a cruise out of Baltimore (assuming you're in the DC area.) |
