Le Chat Noir any good?

How is Le Chat Noir in Friendship? We love Bistrot Lepic. Is this along the same lines? Thank you!

I wouldn't compare it to Bistror Lepic. It's not as cozy as the upstairs there. The food is pretty good and they have a really great brunch. If you like Lepic, I would try Matisse--I think it's just a block away. Matisse also has an incredible, fantastic brunch.

I'll second that vote.

Le Chat Noir has a great vibe of it's own and the food is good, but difficult to compare it to Lepic.

I've only been to Matisse once for lunch and it was very good...just across the street on Wisc.

I actually find their food pretty bland and I find Matisse's dinners overpriced and not that good. I'd go downtown or Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda for a bistro experience that's not as pricey or bland.

I've only been to Le Chat Noir once but I enjoyed it very much and felt the food was way better than Mon Ami Gabi.

mon ami gabi is better than matisse

lepic is better than all of them, by leaps and bounds.

i'd go 2 miles down MacArthur and go to Et Voila, which is way way better.
