That I was "A tiny little thing". Is this a good or bad thing? I can decide whether I like it or not. |
If you have to ask whether you like it or not, you don’t. My guess is that you’re not sure how to articulate why. It’s the word “thing.” You’ve been objectified. Basically he said you’re not a person, but a “thing.” That may not have been his intention, but that’s how it comes off. |
It’s an old phrase meaning you’re short and maybe petite. |
Humblebrag |
I was feeling pretty good about it until you got to “thing”. He definitely thinks you’re a swamp monster. |
Third time this week thatI’ve heard someone refer to an adult female as tiny. Does this obsession with being “tiny” have anything to do with Ariana Grande being in the news so much recently? |
I think men like it because it makes them feel big and powerful, even if they’re not. |
Agree. But I also think it's incredibly gross and creepy when men talk about women this way. |
Do you value being small? I try really hard to keep a low weight to the point of body dysmoprhia and I would be more annoyed if someone didn't think I was tiny. |
you’re a spinner |
+1 This is what the guy was thinking, so he at least liked it. |
+1 And if this is your humblebrag, it's all you've got. Yay? |
Attractive dude says it: melt.
Idiot says it: creepy. |
I wouldn't like it. I try to focus on being strong, fit, and capable, not disappearing to make men feel more powerful. |
It means he thinks of you as childlike. Which is creepy. |
