Did you try to get closer in real life to Facebook ‘friends’? How did it go? I tried but it was a huge disappointment. People living in the area and that are interacting frequently with me online seem to chicken out when I ask to meet briefly face to face.

No, but I don't add people I don't know IRL. If they won't meet in person, delete them.

OP here. Thanks. I usually don’t add people that I don’t know IRL. I was thinking about acquaintances and far relatives living in a 20 Miles radius that I didn’t meet in person for years even if they interact online almost on a daily basis.
