How many kids will be skipping the Mon and Tues of Spring Break?

Thinking ahead to next Spring Break, how many people will be sending their kids Monday and Tuesday? I am willing to work around it but will be irritated to shorten a trip and then the days are worthless because so many kids are absent, the teachers plan nothing.

We don’t usually go away for spring break. Unless it’s seder day/night my kids will be there.

If we have the chance to go away as a family, then my kid will be absent those days. If we are not going away for break, my kid will go to school. I think the schedule is stupid, though.

My kids always miss the Monday after Spring Break. We spend Easter with family in CA so we fly home on Monday.

Easter Monday is a holiday anyway, right? So there is no school. What school are they missing that day?

Arrgh. I hate this stupid Hogan calendar. Nearly every other district in the country gets a full week off in the spring.

We are not going to wait for April to take a winter (spring?) vacation... Stupid calendar tying it to Easter. We'll probably plan a trip over President's Day weekend and just miss 3 days of school. Not ideal but oh well.

I don't know yet -- but its possible my kid will be out. With my work schedule - taking time off in summer is difficult so we have to try to make vacations work during the school year.

Every county affected by Hogan's executive order has/will have a shortened or no Spring Break.
