Overnight getaway in Maine?

My parents live in Maine (moved there a few years ago, so I did not grow up there) and we're going for a week in July. DH and I want to sneak away for 1 night, where do we go that's less than a 2 hour drive of Augusta? Kennebunkport? When I try to ask my mom she panics with ideas...

Samoset Resort in Rockport. Or really anywhere inCamden/Rockport. It's about an hour. Portland is also only an hour and one of the best foodie cities for its size anywhere.
