Luxurious resort on the Hudson in NY?

Any resort recommendations or hotels along Hudson or nearby?

Mohonk Mountain House is a bit further north. I don't know that it is luxurious but it certainly is very pricey. A good place if you want to do some hiking.

Not really. But look at the Sagamore on Lake George. And look into Rhinebeck. Neither is what you're looking for, but they're as close as I can think.

Hmmm... not luxurious, but I've seen people recommend the Rocking Horse ranch, which is across the Hudson from Poughkeepsie. It looks like a fun family resort, but not luxury.

I do know people that love Mohonk.

Just came back from RHR - certainly not luxurious. Mononk Mountain House is definitely upscale. Both are insanely expensive for what you get, though, because of the all-inclusive pricing.
