FWIW, my DS will be 15 next week. He's getting a couple books, t-shirts, xbox gift card, instant-cooling sport towel, and a battery charger for his phone.

Portable phone charger, wireless phone charger, ear buds (my son keeps putting them in pockets and into the wash they go). Amazon gift card. If it's someone you know well (nephew?) and you live nearby, tickets for you and he to attend a Washington Nationals game (check with parents about availability before purchasing).

Assuming he has an iPhone then Apple AirPods. Our older kids have loved them as gifts.

These are great ideas! My almost 15 yo DS is constantly losing his ear buds. The phone chargers are great ideas too!
