Anyone find dating success when moving from the Suburbs to the city?

I’m mid 30s and in a dating rut. Recently moved to the suburbs for affordability but my social life is suffering a lot. I didn’t realize the impact this move would have on my dating life or social life. I’m in an area surrounded by nothing but families, and I feel isolated with no one to really relate to or hang out with.

I am seriously considering moving back to the city. Not just for dating, but I feel city living is my sweet spot after all, despite the higher costs.

Anyone made a similar move and was glad for it?

Also if you were single, did moving out of the family-centric suburbs help your dating and social life?
