With only a couple weeks to go! Now the challenge is a middle name.
What goes with Madeline? Our last name begins with a vowel so we kind of have to be careful of monograms. I've poured over all sorts of family names (which we prefer to use) and it just seems like a giant mouthful with a three syllable first name and two syllable last name. I'm thinking we need a short middle name, right? |

Rose? Joy?
I agree that the middle name should be short. You could also choose something with some alliteration like Madeline Maeve or Michelle. |

Madeline May (Maddie May)
Madeline Grace (Maddie Grace) Madeline Ann (Maddie Ann) Madeline Claire Madeline Eve Madeline Joy Madeline Leigh Madeline Paige |
| Madeline Elle |
I like Paige and Eve. What about Madeline Christine? |
I LOVE this name! Madeline... very musical! But, and I am sorry if it is going to offend any of the pp, I really dislike all the middle name suggested here. I don't think any of them flow well with Madeline. I also don't have any to suggest

I wouldn't go with a popular middle name such as Grace, Rose, or Claire because Madeline is already quite common.
What are the family names you're considering? |

I agree that short will probably sound better.
Madeline Jane? |
| We used Anne. |
| Sweetie. |
I like the sound of Madeline Anne...beautiful name choice, our daughter's middle name is Madeline.

I immediately thought of "Paige."
("Sweetie" cracked me up. I knew that wasn't the last I'd hear of that other thread!)

| I'd go with one of the family names b/c it will have the most meaning to you. Flow isn't as important for the full name or first/middle - you really rarely say the full name after the birth announcement stage. |
| Doogie? |
| I've always loved the name Madeleine Abigail. Needs a short-ish last name, though. |
