¡Viva la Mexico! |
Fine, then they should do it by identifying the criminals and going after them, not hanging out at schools and Home Depot. |
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS SHOULD FOLLOW US IMMIGRATION LAW. People from other countries who follow American law are welcome. Americans who go abroad should follow the law in the country they visit. If Americans do not follow the law in a country they visit, they can and will be arrested. You are a democrat who doesn’t want immigration law adhered to, and will paint the conversation with hysterics and propaganda and lies. |

Californians just like an excuse to protest and burn things.
I think they wanted to protest after the wild fires but most stuff was burned already. So ICE raids gave enough time for the state to more things to burn and vandalize. It is just what they do. Does not matter if Trump dropped napalm on them, they will still find something to protest and somewhere to break and burn stuff. |

If you are a Californian, the current LA riots are an example of your tax dollars hard at work.
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Right—CHIRLA—is one of the key players in fomenting the violent response to immigration enforcement actions. It’s an LA-based nonprofit with a history of taking radical positions on immigration; for example, it led a 2018 campaign to abolish ICE. It currently leads the Los Angeles Rapid Response Network, which gathers intel about enforcement actions and deploys activists to respond. CHIRLA has strong ties to the Democrat Party in California and has supported the election of Democratic candidates through its lobbying arm. It has a particularly close relationship with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, former #2 at CHIRLA. The organization also has a close relationship with organized labor in the state, which in turn is a major financial supporter of Democrat politicians. On Friday, amid rising tensions, CHIRLA held a rally protesting ICE’s enforcement actions and the arrest of SEIU President David Huerta for obstruction. The incredible part is that CHIRLA’s activities are primarily funded by California taxpayers. I obtained a financial audit that shows that for the fiscal year ending June 2023, it received $34 million from the state, mostly through the Department of Social Services, accounting for 72% of its total revenue. This was nearly a three-fold increase over the previous year. CHIRLA also received a $450,000 federal contract in 2023, which Mayor Bass publicly took credit for helping secure. DHS froze funding in February, which prompted a lawsuit from CHIRLA. DHA then canceled the contract, and the lawsuit was then dismissed. Eisenhower warned of the military-industrial complex—now we face a nonprofit-industrial complex. |
Apparently, the Wall Street Journal editorial board in today’s WSJ agrees that the current administration may be taking things too far. Big business does not like civil unrest. The Deportation Wars Begin Trump has a mandate, but protests in California show the trouble that might lie ahead. “But the White House, led by deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, wants to deport everyone here illegally. This means millions of people who arrived illegally but have since led law-abiding, productive lives. They have formed families and taken jobs that employers say they struggle to fill—in construction, hospitality, agriculture, healthcare, and much more. Mr. Miller and the restrictionists want to deport everyone to send a message never to come again. But the lost contributions to the U.S. labor force will be great, especially since neither Mr. Miller nor Big Labor will tolerate more legal immigration. The labor-market impact is already showing up in the monthly Bureau of Labor Statistics report. There is also the risk of unrest, as we’ve seen in California. It’s fanciful to think that raiding restaurants to snatch busboys, or Home Depot to grab stock clerks, won’t inspire a backlash. All the more so when ICE acts in heavy-handed fashion, as its agents sometimes do. Some on the pro-migrant left will do the same, and that’s when things get ugly. The political risks for Mr. Trump will grow if families are broken up, legal migrants are deported by mistake, or tales of hardship proliferate.” |
Enforce immigration law. Period. |
Sounds like you’re from one of the red states that benefit from the $80 billion that CA sends to the federal government government each year—and which ends up supporting red states, our true “welfare queens.” |
It IS being enforced, dumbass. Immigration law is enforced by the federal government, not by local and state authorities. Where do you see it NOT being enforced? |
People are on to the fact that Progressives are attention hos. All they want is to be seen freaking out about the Cause du Jour: George Floyd, climate change, ICE, the Maryland Man, Harvard, Gaza….it’s pretty boring once you realize public meltdowns are their hobby, & serious news organizations are tired of feeding their petulance. |
The biggest “attention ho” of all is Donald J Trump. |
Truth! |
Huh? I am from Victorville, CA. Californians, especially LA; are literally protesting something ALL THE TIME. It just does not always make the national news. |
Peaceful protest is a first amendment right. If protest results in harming people or property, then it’s wrong. But peaceful protest in itself is not unlawful, even if you personally find it distasteful. PS. How did you feel about the “protesting” on January 6? |
| I don't understand these protesters with their Mexican flags. If I were living illegally in Beijing or Tokyo or Paris or London, the last thing I would do would be to set cars on fire and assault police officers while waving a giant American flag. I mean what is the thinking here? Do these protesters not realize they are making a very compelling argument for their immediate arrest and expulsion? After watching these riots, I can guarantee that Trump's popularity is getting a big boost this week. I'm not sure why progressives are encouraging this violence. Americans are pretty clear they want an end to illegal immigration. This would be unacceptable in every country on Earth. |
