Taylor Swift Tour

Today was a bust. Ready by 9. Code in hand. Still, no seats available when I finally got in. I’ll try tomorrow but I’m not optimistic. Happy for those of you who got ‘em!

You really should have purchased them. Either to enjoy or for resale.

DP here. You don't understand. We tried. We couldn't check out with anything we put in our cart.

Can you explain a little more? What happened when you added the seats to checkout?

DP. You add the seats, go through checkout and find out someone else just bought them a millisecond before you. So you repeat and keep trying. Many didn’t get any tickets today because even though they got through and selected seats, they were never successful all the way to confirmation. We were lucky and finally got two.

Anonymous wrote:Why did they put so few tickets into the presale? And why did they give out so many access codes?

Who said they put so few tickets in the presale?

Maybe more people bought the max that they expected?

I think they expected most to buy 2 per code. Many I know bought 6 just in case or for someone else.

I bought 6. I probably won't need all of them depending upon how things go tomorrow.

I'd love to buy them from. you! I didn't get preselected so who know if I'll ever get anything.

Are the tickets transferable?

Right now, it says fan to fan sales are not available. I wonder if that's b/c it's still in presale.

Here is my theory because I’ve been seeing this restriction on tickets I’ve purchased on Ticketmaster lately when it wasn’t there a few months ago.

Everything is mobile tickets. And while the tickets you just purchase might be found in your Ticketmaster account it will not allow you to transfer them. If you were to sell your tickets for whatever reason on stub hub or vivid seats, etc or even from person to person you do the transfer. I usually am reselling tickets because my plans changed and I just want to recoup some costs. I noticed recently TM does not allow you to resell tickets below face value. I had Killer tickets last month I needed to offload bc I couldn’t go, and I just wanted to get some money back and knew I wouldn’t break even but the only way I could sell them for cheap just to get something back was to list on StubHub. When they sold, SH gave me the email of the buyer, I transferred the tickets to him and everyone wins.

But now Ticketmaster is locking your tickets, you cannot transfer. BUT you can resell them, but only on their platform and only at face value OR HIGHER.

Super shady and BS. This has seriously become a monopoly. I don’t love AOC but she’s right, Live Nation/Ticketmaster needs to be broken up.

I thought TM says facevalue only?

Nope. I tried to sell broadway tickets a few months ago and it let me set my own price (actually gave me a range of what they suggested I list), but I couldn't go below face value. I had bought them on Ticketmaster so they knew.

Were they “verified fan” tickets? I doubt it. TM says they are restricting transfer of verified fan ticket to face value plus fees. Maybe someone will figure out a hack or maybe TM will decide they don’t care after the ticket’s been sold 2 or 3 times but that’s what they are saying now.

I think Pittsburgh will be easier than Philly. You can also consider making a trip out of one of the destinations when school's out. There are so few shows in the mid-atlantic.

Schools out made me laugh. These are just for me (39) and a friend (34), so school's not an issue, beyond making my husband watch the kids while we go.

LOL I'm PP and only have an infant that I'm not bringing. Go mid 30s Swifities that do it for the thrill of it

My group of eight is all mid-30s and up! I think this tour will attract a lot of adult fans because she’s going back into her early catalogue. It’s gonna be a blast!

How did you get eight seats together?

We’re not all together. We got tickets to the show though, which is miraculous.

This happened to me too so I used the list instead of selecting individual seats on the map. Unselect the packages if you don’t want those and then click on one a little bit down on the list.

Good luck! If the talk about Verified Fan resale limits (face value only) is true, you’re going to have lots more opportunities.

Did that, like 20 times, at all different prices and ticket numbers between 3 and 6. Still couldn’t complete a sale.

Sorry to hear that. What city? Philly and NJ sounded pretty impossible.

Thanks, mine was Philly Sunday and my friend had the same issue with Philly Saturday.

This is pretty much my only hope too. But there will be a lot of demand at face value.

StubHub is selling 100 level seats from $1,800 to $4,000. Crazy. And how is that even possible?

The people who got really screwed were those who were let out of the queue between about 10:15 and 11am. There was a window of time when none of the codes worked. I was in this group.
Then those who were let out between about 11am to 3pm were let out in a steady trickle and were able to purchase tickets.
Then at 3pm the entire queue was emptied and there was a mad dash all at once for the remaining tickets. I was back in the waiting room during this and was let out. The code I had which was denied earlier worked this time but I couldn't grab any tickets.

Really, it was just luck as to when you were let out of the waiting room.

Seems this is accurate. I was released from the waiting room in the big dump at the end and nothing was left.

This. I was released in the big dump and got very mediocre seats.

PP here. I was willing to take anything including nosebleeds and couldn't get anything. I tried 6, 5, 4, and 3 tickets. I couldn't go below 3 because i have 2 daughtrers. NOTHING.

I was able to get 2 nosebleeds only because I was nice and tried to get the max amount of tickets (6) to share them with friends. Had I tried 2 right off the bat, I would have probably had great seats. Mine are for the NJ stadium so I am reaaaaly far back

StubHub isn't selling them, ticket holders are. The probably bought them today and will deliver them when they get them.

We lost our minds and opened a Capitol One card and the rep on the phone (we had to call with a question) said he spent the entire day with Swift fans, many of them angry because their credit isn't good enough for the card. He has talked to hundreds today.

The same nosebleed section for the 5/14 show that I paid $125 per ticket is selling on stubhub for SEVEN HUNDRED per ticket. And floor seats are selling for $13,000. Wtf. Those tickets should be invalidated. Unbelievable greed. I think Philly must have been hacked by bots. I know very few people who had Philly codes that got tickets.
