How to look elegant as a short chubby woman?

I am short and chubby. My neck is short and not longvand elegant. I am also hairy and have side burns.

How can I looo elegant and poised?

I would think well tailored, structured clothing would help more than flowy, loose clothing.

First, waxing or professional hair removal.

Also, get your eyebrows groomed.

Be conscious of scale. Go for smaller rather than oversized accessories. Think length. Long, well tailored dress pants and same color low to med heel height. Longer necklaces. Monochrome head to toe but color with scarves or necklaces.
Consider long earrings, not studs.

Impeccably groomed and manicured hands, neutral polish.

Find a good tailor and have your clothing altered to fit. Avoid loose, baggy clothing.

No. Nothing was ever made for chubby. Curves, maybe--but that meant slim waist and hips and breasts. Not chubby.

Lose weight and get waxed.

Pick a different goal look:

romantic
warm
eclectic

When I stopped trying to look like gamines like Audrey Hepburn and started admiring Nigella Lawson, Monica Belluci and Drew Barrymore, I got a lot happier!

Late 60s.

Early 60s was girls who looked like Gidget and Cissy from Family Affair. Short and curvy was the style of the 50s to 60s era. Sofia Loren was curvy and not a stick.

Twiggy skinny wasn't popular until the late 60s.

Neat, trimmed cuticles. Moisturized hands. Nails all same length, polished. No chips. Nothing outlandish.

Long earring and long necklaces - this is silly. You are short and petite and should scale your jewelry accordingly and play up your daintiness. And yes you are comparatively dainty even if overweight.

Depilation is in order and you wouldn't ever feel hairy again if you knew how hairy the Kardashians are and how much time they spend de-hair-ifying themselves. They talk about it too.

As a small person you can wear kitten heels, as a curvy person you can wear curvy shoes like d'orsay cut. Elegance arises from understanding your person and how to present it with a style that makes you feel good.

This. Chubby?!? Fat is not elegant and it is especially hard when you are short and round like a ball. Lose the weight.

I am a short middle aged woman with many short middle aged girlfriends: Have a regular exercise program, stop eating so much and have a healthier diet. Being elegant requires work.

For clothing and accessories - get a personal stylist. For hair, get a good hair stylist. For body hair, get a good waxer.

Get your nails and eyebrows done once a month.
