We are considered school for friends in Dupont for next year. I have tried to find information from parents on this board, but have not found a lot of details. Can anyone was/is at this school comment on the education. Also, has anyone considered the afternoon program only vs. full day or morning? |
OP, I am surprised that you have not found a lot of information on the school on this site, since it has been discussed frequently. Our children went there many years ago, and many of our friends' kids have gone there also, and we love the school. No-one knows more about early childhood development that Jim Clay (the director) and he hires wonderful teachers. We would have stayed there forever if we could. |
Have you tried the preschool or private school forums? I see it discussed over there every so often. |
Several of our friends' kids went there. All of the families and kids are very devoted to the school. Good teachers, nice community. Quaker values. Don't know anyone who didn't like their experience. |
It's an amazing school. I would do full day. Afternoon gets taken up by nap time. Try a morning slot if you only do 1/2 day.
The teachers are amazing, Jim runs a very tight ship, a new playground is going in in a few weeks and the families are down to earth, laid back and just really really nice people. I haven't found this type of closeness at either school we've been to post-school for friends. I miss it every day for my kids! |
