Too late to plant drift rose?

Anonymous
I trimmed and transplanted some sweet flag and two months later, it's still looking very sad. It might perk up if I wait, but I wasn't too keen on it in the new location anyhow. I'd like to plant a sweet drift rose in the location instead. Can I plant this weekend or is it too late in the season?

It's fine to plant now. Just make sure to keep the plant well watered.
