Anyone else watching? I love Suranne Jones and so far this short series is good.

The dinner scene towards the end of season one is spectacular.

Season One was brilliant. She was a woman who was reeling from finding out about her husband's affair and her friends' betrayals.

Skip season two. She gets way over the top and it is ridiculous.

I do love Suranne Jones! I hear she has a new show coming out written and directed by Sally Wainwright.

I loved season two just as well, other than the ending.

I just watched seasons 1 and 2 of this show. I. LOVED. IT. The lead actress is incredible as is the actor who plays her son. The topic has been played out in many other shows but acting in this is so nuanced. I found myself thinking about each episode until I watched the next. Kudos to the sound engineer as well, the music was perfect and enhanced the drama and tension.

I totally agree. The lead actress was brilliant. Even though her actions are extreme, you sympathize with her every step of the way.

count me in as another one who loved season 1 and then thought it went downhill.... the main character seemed to become less sympathetic to me

This is a great characterization. I was stumbling over the way to say it. Logically I was thinking wow what a crazy person (throughout) but emotionally... I was right there with her. Lord help my husband if he does the same because I’ll go bananas.

I know this is an old thread, but I just now finished season 1. I thought it was SO over the top, especially the way she drags her poor son into her rage.

But wow, what a betrayal! Everyone in her life knew her husband was having an affair. Even their friends going on a vacation with her husband and his mistress!! That was pretty unbelievable.
