Nausea/headache 2 Days after FET - Is this Possibly a Sign?

Anonymous
Hi there,

My FET was Friday am (two days ago). I've had a child before, and always felt "hungover" right before the pregnancy test (headache and nausea). I know it's only a couple of days past the transfer, but is it possible these symptoms are signs? Or do the hormones just build up over time and I'm finally feeling the effects of them?

TIA!

I got a headache about a week after the transfer. I always get a headache before my period so I thought it would be a BFN, but it wasn't! My son is now 5 months Good luck!

Don’t symptom spot! Because for every symptom you feel or don’t feel, there will be a person who is and a person who isn’t pregnant.
There are some women who have ALL the symptoms and aren’t pregnant. And women who have NONE of the symptoms who are.
Good luck!

Eh - Agree that symptom spotting i a bad idea.... but that said, my last FET, just about 48 hours after transfer I got the most horrible lightheadedness/ nausea that was on/ off for the rest of the first 8 weeks (it was a positive pregnancy, but late first tri mc).

No, it's a coincidence or power of suggestion.

OP here - definitely not a "coincidence," b/c I have consistently felt this way since yesterday. But agree it's probably from the meds and I shouldn't read into it. Just hopeful I guess!!!!

Progesterone causes many of the symptoms that people feel in early pregnancy. So....if you're taking it b/c you're doing ART, you may feel those symptoms, but it's not a sign of success or failure. I hope you get a BFP, though!

don't have any advice but wanted to say that I had my FET on Thursday morning and I'm right there with you. This wait is unlike any other. I'm legit going crazy.

Yes, totally agree. And I say this as someone who also symptom spotted.

The three times I’ve been pregnant, I’ve felt no symptoms until after 6 weeks. I got my last BFP at cd 23, so I knew I was pregnant for a while, but only from the tests. Sorry, op, you really just have to wait and see. Or pee like a crazy woman on some tests until you get valid, like me!

IME, there is no difference between pregnancy symptoms and the symptoms you feel during TWW from the estrogen and PIO.

Agree. Fertility drugs mimic pregnancy symptoms (especially if you do an HCG trigger which is pure pregnancy hormone). Hang in there during the TWE. Thinking of you!

Do not symptom spot. First rule of FETs.
You're on fertility drugs. Of course you're going to get a headache at some point.

My first earliest weird pregnancy symptom was that my pee felt hotter than normal when I went to the bathroom. That was about 6 days past a 3 day transfer. Good luck to OP and the PPs who are also waiting.
