Recommendations for 10 and 12 year old.

I have heard good things about Coerver and we’re trying them for the first time this summer. Most of the clubs run camps so you can check with your club and surrounding ones. The issue we found is that the camps during the summer are not always on par with the regular season.

I would love to hear the list for NoVA. We are located in Alexandria.

For overnight, Two Rivers in California is very good but it's a long way to go.

It’s $700/one week 9-3pm !!! It’s $300-400 more per week than Ajax or Barca’s. You could get two kids for the same price elsewhere.

Keep in mind that the "best" soccer camps are usually invite only. We don't even know about them. What usually makes the best camps is the quality of the kids that attend. So you can have Pep run your camp but if it's a bunch of low level kids, it will be crap. HP Elite has some of the better camps because everyone must "apply" and be selected for the camp. PG Young Boys has intense camps. Coerver runs good camps. Alexandria has a ball mastery camp. Golden boot runs some camps. There is Benefica camps, dutch soccer school, lots of camps. Clubs sponsored camps aren't to bad because they are investing in their players. Still some baby sitting but the best way to go about it is to find 4-5 kids with similar ability and find a good trainer that you like and set something up yourself.

^^^ Last suggestion makes sense. Get a trainer and focus on core skills.

Our daughter liked the Marymount girls camp. The co-ed camp was run by the boys coach, and the boys players weren't as fun as the girls players. That kind of ruined it for her, and my son didn't like it either.

No opinion on how good it was skill wise.
